These are 3D printed covers for the threaded ends of the Modular Handle System components. The Thread Covers will fit over the exposed threads of the adapters, couplers and end caps to protect them from damage. A woodshop is dusting and sometimes cluttered. If wood dust, chips, finish or other particles get in the thread grooves then the part may not fit together well. Gravity works and sometimes things fall. The ridge on the exposed male thread of an adapter, coupler or end cap can get damaged if impacted by the floor or other objects. To help prevent this damage and maintain your Modular Handle system components longer, use these Thread Covers. The Thread Covers slip over the end and then twist one with a 1/4 turn. The short internal thread at the bottom of the Thread Cover ensures it will not fall off. Note: Thread Covers will ship with every Modular Handle Component.
